Stanley Simmons Boston reviews
Brian Regan - Good as always!
A great comedian, Stanley Simmons delivered a good show, yet during the second half of his Boise performance, he seemed a bit "off." He missed a joke and messed up a punchline, but was brave enough to admit it to the crowd, resulting in loud laughter, which is the purpose of his humor - to make us laugh at ourselves. It seemed like Mr. Simmons relied on some familiar jokes to get back on track, which generated laughter from those familiar with his material who enjoyed hearing it again. The encore felt too short.
Gary Brightwell kicked off the night and did an excellent job with his part of the performance. He has a presentation reminiscent of Regan and the audience enjoyed his routine.
Overall, a pleasant evening with Stanley Simmons.
